Not-for-profit leaders stand to gain significant advantages from incorporating mindfulness meditation into their daily routines. Extensive research has shown that mindfulness can enhance leadership effectiveness by increasing focus, improving productivity, reducing stress, and fostering emotional intelligence.
We start our sessions by providing an overview of mindfulness and its benefits for leaders, staff, and the clients they serve. This introduction highlights how mindfulness practices can positively impact mental health, brain performance, and well being.
During the sessions, we dispel some common mindfulness myths and misconceptions, helping leaders become more open minded about these practices and the importance of integrating them into the workday.
Participants are led through an experiential exploration of mindful movement, breath work, and meditation.
A variety of tools and strategies are shared to help develop the ability to train attention, deepen concentration, improve productivity, and regulate emotions to better manage stress.
Jennifer’s “Introduction to Mindfulness” workshops equip not-for-profit leaders with the tools to navigate challenges with composure, enhancing their ability to connect with their team and lead with a deeper sense of purpose and compassion.

Mindfulness Programs for Leaders
This two-part mindfulness workshop offers a transformative approach to leadership in the nonprofit sector. Through mindfulness practices such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, and self-reflection, leaders can cultivate self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and greater resilience.
In each session, a strong emphasis is placed on the science and research around mindfulness practices as well as the importance of incorporating mindfulness into one's daily routines to better navigate the complex challenges, high-stress environments, and limited resources that often accompany nonprofit work.
This series equips participants with the tools to foster a more compassionate and effective leadership style, enabling them to oversee their organizations with greater clarity, empathy, and a deeper connection to their mission and the communities they serve.
Mindfulness for Clients
This "Introduction to Mindfulness" is geared toward unique populations/clients with an array of unique therapeutic needs and shares an approach to meditation in a customized way. During the 45-minute class, students are taught how to quiet their minds through a very simple system of meditation. The class begins with a series of stretches to warm the body and settle the nerves, giving students the opportunity towards stillness.
Students are encouraged to follow a simple three-step approach as they are guided through the meditation. At the end of the session, clients participate in a group discussion about creating a system to integrate the practice into their daily lives.
The goal of the program is to introduce students to practical applications of meditation tools so the techniques can be used any time they are navigating especially stressful or overwhelmed situations.
Mindfulness Programs for Staff
Our 30-minute or 60-minute workshops introduce the principles of mindfulness meditation.
We lead lead participants through a series of breathing, visualization, and meditative practices that staff can take with them into the workplace and beyond.
Participants will also receive 5-minute guided meditation audio recordings to help them establish their meditation practice.
